The Highland Tour

Today was spent on a tour of the Highlands that wasn't exactly engrossing. It was twelve hours on a bus and the drives in between the scattered stops were about two hours of fruitless commentary. We were in a stupor of boredom for large parts of the showing.
That's not to say that it was like this for the entirety of the tour. The first six hours were spectacular. The views were splendid and our "photo opportunities" abundant. The tour guide was exceedingly pleasant throughout the tour, also. However, the next half of the ride was fairly monotonous and repetitive, in our opinions. There are some great pictures below, though.
This was probably not our favorite day, but the experience was greatly influenced by our preference of hands-on tours. For those who enjoy this style of vacationing, I believe that it would be a marvelous experience.
