I have unfortunately fallen behind on my blog posts due to schedule changes, lack of WiFi, and utter exhaustion. Therefore, this post states what we did last Thursday. This was a day that was truly remarkable.
When we arrived in Matlock, England, we were convinced at its beauty from the quick glances of landscapes provided by our train ride. However, we could not have imagined that any place could be as beautiful as Chatsworth. This is an enormous estate that is owned currently by the Duke and Duchess of Derbyshire. The mansion and its grounds are so breath-taking that they have been used for multiple sets in movies and has been transformed into a real landmark. Some movies shot here include The Duchess, The Other Bolin Girl, and it served as Pemberly in the most recent film version of Pride and Prejudice. Keira Knightly has evidently walked on these grounds countless times!
Apart from all the films, the house is just a great sight, one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen. The inside held captivating artwork of all kinds and pristine statues. Despite some adorable, but very quarrelsome and stubborn ducks, there was almost nothing of which to complain. My only recommendation against any on-site establishment would be to bring your own lunch! The desserts were great, but the food sold outside of the tea room was not quite palatable. Below are some amazing pictures of Chatsworth. If you do go there, make sure to visit the fields, where you can stand right beside the sheep, in favorable weather. Unfortunately, most of the pictures are only of the interior of the house. I was having slight technical difficulties. The grounds were probably the best part of the experience. I'm sorry I wasn't able to show more pictures of them.
We ended the day by packing up our bags and unexpectedly leaving the guest house where we had been residing. We took the train out to Bath and are currently enjoying the city.

It looks like a very fancy house. Lots of art. Hope the decision. To leave early for Bath was just a spontaneous one and not owing to a bad lodging situation. Enjoy Bath!
